I became a teacher in 2005 and my head was filled with optimistic thoughts about how great the teaching world was. After 5 or 6 years, the negativity of the media, other non-teachers, and even some teachers themselves, caused me to become disillusioned with the practice and miserable in my profession.
Then, about 9 years in, something changed. I began professional development opportunities that helped me find like-minded teachers and rediscover my passion. I regained control of my classroom and started making learning FUN again. This blog highlights all the awesome things going on in my classroom, my school, and the profession in general. I am BLOWN AWAY with the amount of amazing things going on in education, and I hope others who view it negatively can get a glimpse into some of the awesomeness happening every single day.
